IGNITION Acting was formed by professional actor Adam Ewan, in response to a lack of informal acting classes available to adults. Adam, a graduate of the highly respected Bristol Old Vic Theatre School, came relatively late to the profession, starting his training at the age of 30. His credits include: Small Island (National Theatre), My Country: A Work in Progress (National Theatre), The Death of Stalin (Free Range and Quad Films), Top Boy (Netflix), Fantastic Beasts - The Crimes of Grindelwald (Warner Bros), The Living and the Dead (BBC TV), Fleabag (BBC TV), Pride (Proud Films), The Chameleon (October Films), African Gothic (Two Sheds Theatre), A Christian Turn'd Turk (Read Not Dead, Shakespeare's Globe). Adam says "Before I made the decision to go to drama school, I had been looking for acting classes in my local area but could only find children's performing arts groups or amateur theatre groups for adults, where each session was dedicated to rehearsing the upcoming show and any acting advice given was by other amateurs. I wanted to learn new skills, but there was nowhere to go. It was really frustrating."
IGNITION Acting is redressing the balance with its after-work acting classes lead by professional actors and directors. All of our experienced tutors trained at the UK's leading drama schools, are currently working in TV, film and theatre, and are now passing on their training, knowledge and experience to you. IGNITION Acting Classes are for anyone aged 18 and over, from the complete novice to the seasoned amateur or semi-professional. Whether you’re acting just for fun (to explore something different, meet new people, and enjoy yourself), want to sharpen up your techniques for an upcoming role, or are auditioning for drama school and looking to pursue a career in the industry, IGNITION Acting Classes are for you.
